Week 15 kicks off tonight with an NFC South battle between the Buccaneers and the Falcons on Thursday Night Football! We’re breaking down who’s out, who’s questionable, and what the long history of this matchup might tell us heading into tonight.


Raymond James Stadium will be the setting Thursday night as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers host the Atlanta Falcons in a Week 15 NFC South matchup on Prime Video and NFL+. The Bucs enter the game with a 7-6 record, tied with the Carolina Panthers but holding the top spot in the division. The Falcons, now eliminated from playoff contention at 4-9, aim to play spoiler.

For Atlanta, wideout Drake London (knee) has been ruled out, and tight end Kyle Pitts (knee) and defensive lineman David Onyemata (foot) are questionable. Falcons linebacker Kaden Elliss (elbow) and guard Chris Lindstrom (foot) were full participants in practice by Wednesday.

Bucs quarterback Baker Mayfield (left shoulder) is expected to play, while top receiver Mike Evans (collarbone) and rookie Jalen McMillan (neck) have been activated from injured reserve and are listed as questionable. If active, it will mark the first time Tampa Bay has fielded Evans, McMillan, Chris Godwin, and Emeka Egbuka together this season. Tight end Cade Otton (knee) is doubtful.

This primetime divisional clash kicks off Week 15 with postseason implications for Tampa Bay. The all-time series between these two sits at 32-32 dating back to Nov. 27, 1977. They have been to overtime six times in their matchups history with the Falcons winning four of those to include the last overtime on Oct. 3, 2024. However, the Bucs took the first matchup of 2025, 23-20, and have won seven of the last 10 meetings dating back to 2020.


Atlanta will don their throwback red helmets and black uniforms, while the Bucs will wear their Creamsicle alternates. With the NFC South still up for grabs, Tampa Bay will look to maintain momentum and distance themselves from Carolina in the conference standings.
