Pro Bowl Roster Shifts, Coaching Movement Mark NFL’s Super Bowl LX Pause

As the NFL enters its brief pause ahead of Super Bowl LX, Pro Bowl roster changes and continued coaching movement across the league remain at the forefront.

With Super Bowl LX approaching, the NFL has entered a short lull in on-field action, but roster adjustments and organizational decisions continue to shape the league’s landscape. Injuries, Super Bowl participation, and offseason transitions have prompted multiple Pro Bowl Games replacements, while coaching news continues to emerge across several franchises.


Pro Bowl and Coaching Updates 2026

 

The Pro Bowl Games will kick off on Tuesday, February 3, at 8:00 p.m. ET, and several teams have added late replacements to the rosters. The Cleveland Browns saw rookie quarterback Shedeur Sanders added as a replacement, capping a rapid rise from a fifth-round selection to a Pro Bowl appearance. The Chicago Bears added cornerback Nahshon Wright, replacing Philadelphia’s Quinyon Mitchell.

 

Dallas also received multiple additions, with tight end Jake Ferguson replacing San Francisco’s George Kittle and return specialist KaVontae Turpin stepping in for Seattle’s Rashid Shaheed. Detroit quarterback Jared Goff was added in place of Sam Darnold, while Houston placed cornerback Kamari Lassiter and safety Calen Bullock into the field as replacements for Christian Gonzalez and Jalen Ramsey, respectively. Indianapolis tight end Tyler Warren replaced Brock Bowers, and Jacksonville linebacker Devin Lloyd was named as a replacement for T.J. Watt.

 

Pro Bowl Roster Updates (Injury Replacements)

 

Cleveland Browns

• Rookie QB Shedeur Sanders has been added to the Pro Bowl Games roster as a replacement with Patriots QB Drake Maye participating in the Super Bowl.

 

Chicago Bears

• CB Nahshon Wright added, replacing Eagles CB Quinyon Mitchell.

 

Dallas Cowboys

• TE Jake Ferguson added, replacing 49ers TE George Kittle.

• RS KaVontae Turpin added, replacing Seahawks KR Rashid Shaheed.

 

Detroit Lions

• QB Jared Goff added, replacing Seahawks QB Sam Darnold.

 

Houston Texans

• CB Kamari Lassiter added, replacing Patriots CB Christian Gonzalez.

• S Calen Bullock added, replacing Steelers S Jalen Ramsey.

 

Indianapolis Colts

• TE Tyler Warren added, replacing Raiders TE Brock Bowers.

 

Jacksonville Jaguars

• LB Devin Lloyd added, replacing Steelers LB T.J. Watt.

 

 

Away from the Pro Bowl, coaching movement continued across the league. Buffalo adjusted its head coaching search as Philip Rivers withdrew, while Broncos quarterbacks coach Davis Webb completed an interview. Cleveland saw Jaguars offensive coordinator Grant Udinski exit its search, while Rams passing game coordinator Nate Scheelhaase advanced to a second interview.

 

Detroit added former Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka in a senior offensive role, while the Los Angeles Chargers officially announced Mike McDaniel as their new offensive coordinator. Philadelphia promoted Joe Kasper internally while also interviewing Frank Smith. Tennessee elevated Aaron Whitecotton, and Washington finalized the hiring of Daronte Jones as defensive coordinator.
